Beaufort man arrested following incident at Voss' Market

According to a press release issued Wednesday, Sept. 23, just after 10 a.m., a Beaufort man has been arrested following an alleged incident at Voss' Market in Beaufort.

On Tuesday, Sept. 22, at approximately 7:15 a.m., Tyler M. Wilson, 33, walked over to a Voss' Market clerk who was filing the ATM machine. The clerk asked him to step back, at which point Wilson reportedly placed his hand on the cash that was being deposited into the ATM. 

Wilson is alleged to have then pushed the clerk aside, grabbed the money and ran out the front door of the store. 

Voss' Market staff members say they were familiar with Wilson prior to this incident. 

At approximately 4 p.m. later that day, Wilson was located in Eureka and arrested on outstanding felony warrants for possession of a controlled substance and DWI.

On 9-23-2020 A warrant for felony stealing was obtained against Tyler Wilson for Felony Stealing with a $75,000 bond.
