Benjamin “Adam” Bock, 37, of Union, passed away Monday, March 25, 2024, at his residence.

He was born March 5, 1987, to Benjamin Joseph Bock and Robin Gail Schaefferkoetter in Jefferson City.

Adam was a graduate of Missouri S&T with a degree in mechanical engineering. He was employed as an engineer by Fairlane Industries in St. Louis where he loved his job and coworkers. Adam had a personality that could light up a room. He had a deep, echoing laugh and dimpled smile that radiated warmth and joy. Adam gave hugs like no other. He was tech savvy and enjoyed building things from his own computer to the desk it sat upon. Adam was a cuisine enthusiast and enjoyed creating and improving recipes. He was the light and soul of any gathering. He was a member of St. Peter’s United Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by grandparents, Eldon and Mary Bock, Victor Schaefferkoetter and Dr. Walter and Shirley Luehr.

He is survived by mother, Robin Schaefferkoetter of O’Fallon; father, Ben Bock and Ronda Calkins of Rosebud; grandmother, Connie Schaefferkoetter of Owensville; and brother Alexander and wife Jesse of Cornelius, N.C.

Funeral services were held Saturday, March 30, at Gottenstroeter Funeral Home in Owensville with Rev. Stephanie DeLong officiating. Burial was in Countryside Memorial Gardens.
