Betty Jean Docksteiner, 79, of Owensville, passed away Saturday, Dec. 23, 2023, in Keenes, Ill.
She was born April 5, 1944, to Loyd E. and Faye (Medley) Clemons in St. Louis.
She was united in marriage to Allan Emil Docksteiner, Oct. 12, 1963, in East St. Louis, Ill.
Betty enjoyed oil and water painting, being outdoors, boating, fishing, horseback and ATVs riding, crafts and crocheting.
She was preceded in death by parents, Loyd and Faye; husband, Allan; and son, James Wesley Docksteiner.
She is survived by children, Mark Docksteiner of Union and Jeanne McAlister and husband Michael of Wadesville, Ind.; siblings, Bob Clemons and wife Sharon of Clinton, Tom Clemons and wife Pauline of Ellington, Darryl Clemons and wife Stella of Owensville and Sue Johnson and husband Richard of Gerald; grandchildren, Wesley Docksteiner, Erika McAlister and Alex McAlister; and great-grandchildren, Aiden and Willow Docksteiner.
Visitation will be Wednesday (today), Jan. 3, from 4–8 p.m. at Gottenstroeter Funeral Home in Owensville.
Funeral services will be Thursday, Jan. 4, at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Kevin Sullivan officiating. Burial will be in Jefferson Barracks in St. Louis at 1:15 p.m.
