Betty Jean Fleenor, 79, of Owensville, passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City.
She was born March 23, 1944, to the late Edward W. and Alma Mary (Pietraschke) Havelka in Phelps County.
Betty worked hard cleaning houses for her clients for over 30 years. She enjoyed attending craft fairs, thresher shows, and entering produce in the local county fairs. Over the years she won many ribbons demonstrating her ability to produce amazing home grown fruits and vegetables. She was a member of St. John’s UCC at Bem, she loved animals, and took great pride in maintaining her yard and garden.
She is survived by special friend, Ken Haines, and will be missed by her neighbors and friends.
A graveside service was held Friday, March 15, with Rev. Kevin Sullivan officiating. Burial was at St. John’s UCC Cemetery at Bem.
Arrangements were entrusted to Gottenstroeter Funeral Home of Owensville.
