Both suspects in a drug-related warrant search Sunday morning remain in custody Tuesday awaiting court appearances this morning (Wednesday) in Gasconade County Associate Circuit Court.

Anthony Keith Bialczyk, 33, and April Jane Aemisegger, 40, were scheduled to be arraigned  at 9 a.m. June 21 on allegations of class D felony charges for possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor drug paraphernalia possession. Both are in custody with a cash or surety bond of $100,000 set for each. Bialczyk’s paraphernalia charge is a class A count for having a prior drug offense. Aemisegger’s charge for paraphernalia is a class D misdemeanor.

Both were taken into custody late Sunday morning when members of the Lakes Area Narcotics Enforcement Group (LANEG), Owensville police, and deputies with the Gasconade County Sheriff’s Office served a warrant at Bialczyk’s mother’s home in the 700 block of South Second Street.

According to Owensville’s interim police chief Scott Griffith, a “large amount of Fentanyl capsules and a decent amount of (crystallized) methamphetamine” were recovered during the search conducted around 11:15 a.m. June 18. Both were taken into custody and warrants were issued Monday. Bialczyk remains in jail at the Crawford County Adult Detention Center in Steelville and Aemisegger was in custody at the Osage County Jail in Linn.

According to Sheriff Scott Eiler, “A search of the residence was conducted and as a result of the search, approximately twenty-five (25) grams of methamphetamine, seventy-eight (78) of fentanyl capsules, and items of drug paraphernalia utilized in the consumption and distribution of methamphetamine was located and seized.”

“I appreciate the hard work of the sheriff’s department and drug task force investigating this case,” said Griffith.

Eiler thanked LANEG and the OPD for “their hard work and dedication to keep Gasconade County a safe place to raise your family” in a press release issued on Monday afternoon.
