Charles “Chuck” Smith Harper, Jr., 85, Owensville, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2020, at Mercy Hospital in Creve Coeur.
He was born Aug. 12, 1935, to Charles Smith and Gladys (Baggett) Harper, Sr. in Biglerville, Pa.
He was united in marriage to Lois (White) Hendrix, Jan. 5, 2018 at Milam, Texas.
Chuck was an engineer in telecommunications. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the Owensville Christian Church.
He was preceded in death by parents, Charles and Gladys; and his first wife, Joyce Elaine (Stoner) Harper.
He is survived by wife, Lois, of Owensville; daughter, Andrea Sanders and husband Ivan of Milam, Texas; granddaughter, Talia (Fawcett) Tiepelman and husband Jeff of St. Louis; step-granddaughter, Elizabeth Sanders of Milam; and four great-grandchildren.
There are no services scheduled at this time. Memorials may be given to the Wounded Warriors Project in Charles Harper’s name. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Gottenstroeter Funeral Home of Owensville.
