Congregation marks Henrion’s first anniversary with Boeuff

Posted

Rev. Kathleen Henrion has been serving as pastor at Boeuff Presbyterian Church in Gerald for a year now. To honor the landmark, the church celebrated with a carry-in meal following services Sunday morning.

Rev. Henrion grew up in Toledo, Ohio. She was ordained into the ministry in 2012 and Boeuff is the third church she has pastored. Lansing, Mich. and Richmond, Va. were other places were she has worked.

Boeuff is a small congregation with 40 members on its rolls of which about 22 are active. This allows Rev. Henrion to pastor on a part-time basis, mostly conducting the Sunday services. While her previous churches were considerably larger and took more of her time, but she is perfectly happy with the way things have worked out.

This part-time arrangement works well for her as she is also a full-time mother to two-year-old Calvin and wife to David. The family lives in Arnold and makes the hour-and-fifteen-minute drive to Gerald each Sunday.
