Daniel Ray “Dan” Mogensen, 78, Gerald passed away Sunday, Nov. 22, 2020, at Mercy Hospital in Washington.
He was born June 7, 1942, to Carl and Mary (Gaffey) Mogensen, in Sioux City, Iowa.
He was united in marriage to Donna Mann, Feb. 3, 1963, in Las Vegas, Nev.
Dan enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, being outdoors, horseback riding, watching football, playing cards and listening to country music.
He was preceded in death by parents Carl and Mary; and brother, Jerry Mogensen.
He is survived by wife, Donna, of the home; children, Tom Mogensen and wife Machelle of Owensville, Ronda Idel and husband Chris of Rosebud and Brenda King and husband Scott of Owensville; brother, Tom Mogensen and wife Marilynn of Pipestone, Minn.; eight grandchildren, Kyle Mogensen and wife Shannon, Michael Mogensen and wife Katie, Tyler Mogensen, Nicholas Huesgen and Chelsea McLaughlin, Kayla Marinelli and husband Cody, Jacob King and Jordan Towers, Maranda Kottwitz and husband Jacob and Paige King; 15 great-grandchildren: Brooklynn, Aubrey, Tanner, Isabella, Cayson, Chayce, Paisleigh, Rhett, Colton, Jaxton, Kasyn, Raelynn, Bryer, Berkley and Boone.
Visitation will be Friday, Nov. 27, from 4-7 p.m. at Gottenstroeter Funeral Home in Owensville with funeral services following at 7 p.m. with Pastor Glenn Hollander officiating. Visitation and services are open to the public. However, due to COVID-19 virus concerns, please practice social distancing. Masks are suggested but not mandatory.
