Dorothy Sophie Ojile, 96, of Rosebud, Mo., passed away Saturday, Aug. 10, 2019, at Gasconade Manor Nursing Home in Owensville.
She was born June 9, 1923, to Samuel and Johanna (Bollman) Hatupin in St. Louis and they preceded her in death.
Dorothy was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She worked for Banner Dry Cleaners in Clayton for 35 years. In 1993 she moved from Ballwin to Rosebud to be close to her daughter. She enjoyed reading, working with flowers and doing needlework. She made beautiful quilts which she often gave as gifts to family and friends. She loved animals and provided a loving home for many rescue pets over the years.
She is survived by her daughter, Lorraine Kehr and husband Tim of Rosebud.
A graveside service was held Tuesday, Aug. 13, at 10 a.m. at Owensville City Cemetery with Roger Vincent officiating.
