Dorothy Jean Schultz, 90, Gerald, passed away Monday, May 25, 2026, at New Haven Care Center.
She was born Aug. 20, 1935, to Fred and Lidia (Otte) Braun in Gerald.
She was united in marriage to Joseph J. Schultz Sept. 14, 1957, at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Gerald.
Through the years Dorothy enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time at their cabin on the Gasconade River. She also loved everything NASCAR and hardly missed a race. She spent retirement enjoying holiday celebrations with family, dinners with friends and thrifting knickknacks that she lovingly displayed in her home.
Dorothy was preceded in death by husband, Joseph; parents, Fred and Lidia; and siblings, Marvin Braun and Lorene Otte.
She is survived by several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 2, at Gottenstroeter Funeral Home in Owensville, with Rev Kevin Sullivan officiating. Interment was in St. Paul’s Cemetery in Gerald.
