Dr. Edward Otto Buschmiller, Jr., 73, of Owensville, passed away Saturday, July 29, 2023, at his residence.
He was born Sept. 11, 1949, to Edward Otto and Dorcas (Bristow) Buschmiller, Sr. in St. Louis.
He graduated from John Burroughs High School in 1967, then went on to study at the University of the South in Sewanee, Tenn., where he graduated with bachelor’s degrees in chemistry and economics. Edward studied at St. Louis University, graduating with a master’s degree in social work. In 1985, he graduated with a doctorate of medicine from Washington University School of Medicine and became a medical doctor. Edward worked at various urgent care centers in the St. Louis area and worked in the emergency room at St. Luke’s Hospital for 20 years. He was a member of the Owensville Lion’s Club.
He was preceded in death by parents, Edward and Dorcas Buschmiller, Sr.
He is survived by life partner, Sheryl Ray of Owensville.
His body was cremated. There are no services scheduled at this time.
