That will be the case this coming Friday at Owensville High School during the annual Dutchgirl Wrestling Tournament.

Competing along with the host Dutchgirls will be Union’s Lady Wildcats, Capital City’s Lady Cavaliers, Southern Boone’s Lady Eagles and Blair Oaks’ Lady Falcons.

Matches will begin at 4 p.m., with first-round action followed by round-two matches at approximately 5 p.m.

Round three matches will have a scheduled start time at around 5:45 p.m., followed by third and fifth-place matches at 6:30 p.m., and championship bouts closing out the tournament at around 7:30 p.m.

There will be team plaques awarded for first and second place in addition to medals for the top three individuals in each weight class.

Admission charges for the tournament will be $3 for adults and $2 for students.

Senior citizens and children under age five will be admitted free of charge.

Dutchgirl grapplers competing in front of their home fans will include Lily Barker, Josie Gerlemann, Emily Krause, Madison Lewis, Kelby Schoenfeld, Jenna Vandegriffe, Anna Carlin, Elizabeth Adams, Carly Brown, McKenzy Echols, Ellie Thompson and Lillian Withington.

Bollman’s Dutchgirls will then hit the road next Tuesday in tournament action at Versailles.
