With us now seven days into October, we’re entering the home stretch of the regular seasons for softball.
Hannah Koppelmann’s Owensville Dutchgirl softball team will close their regular season with a stacked stretch of road games.
Facing South Callaway’s Lady Bulldogs last night (Tuesday) in Mokane, Owensville will travel north on Highway 19 to face Montgomery County’s Lady Wildcats tomorrow (Thursday) night with a 5 p.m., first pitch.
Starting Friday morning, Owensville will compete in the Rolla Lady Bulldog Softball Tournament over in Phelps County facing St. Elizabeth’s Lady Hornets at 10 a.m., before taking on Ozark’s Lady Tigers at 2 p.m., that afternoon.
Depending on the results of those two games, OHS will play in either the bronze, silver or gold brackets on Saturday, Oct. 10.
Koppelmann’s Dutchgirls will then close their regular season on Monday, Oct. 12 on the road at Wright City against the Lady Wildcats before preparing for play in the Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA) Class 3, District 2 Softball Tournament hosted by Sullivan High School.
Chris Leibach’s Hermann Lady Bearcats traveled to Wright City Monday night and will hit the road tomorrow (Thursday) to face New Bloomfield’s Lady Wildcats before returning to Dick Ochsner Ball Park for a pair of home games.
On Monday, Oct. 12, they will host the St. Louis Patriots for senior night with Hermann Lady Bearcat seniors Delilah Nobel and Harper Priess being recognized.
They will then close their regular season on Tuesday, Oct. 13 hosting Lutheran St. Charles with a 4:30 p.m., first pitch.
Due to their cooperative agreement with New Haven, Hermann will be competing in the MSHSAA Class 3, District 5 Softball Tournament hosted by Blair Oaks High School.
