With the month of June now in the rear view mirror, Owensville Athletic Association (OAA) baseball and softball seasons wrapped up earlier this week and late last week.

Children as young as four years old and as old as 14 competed in t-ball, baseball and softball throughout May and June at the Owensville Lions Complex and on other fields throughout the area.

Two teams competed in the 4U Division sponsored by Kay Carpet and Shelter Insurance of Owensville.

Competing on the Kay Carpet team were Jack Lairmore, Jolee Hardy, Levi Reese, Lucas McKinney, Sawyer Jett, Chandler Lowder and Evan Ryerson.

They were coached by Kyle Lairmore.

Coached by Kyle Meyer and Adam Brinker, Shelter Insurance team members included Ollie Copeland, Carter Snodgrass, Audrey Marshall, Norlaee Marshall, Jase Melton, Grady Hamann, Quinn Brinker and Klay Meyer.

Five teams completed in the 6U Division sponsored by Legends Bank, Quality Tool, First State Community Bank, Mentz Foundations and ReMax Exclusive Properties (Nan Belloir).

Donning navy blue shirts for the Legends Bank squad included Theo Lambert, Aiden Huff, Hudson Huff, Wesley Melton, Rogan Melton, Ranger Brewer, Charles Wheeler, Lyla Bray and Zoe McKinney.

They were coached by Ashley and Jacob Lambert.

Coached by Kelsey Nicks, Terry Nicks and Kim Cahill, Quality Tool team members wearing green shirts included Corbin Nicks, Raelynn Cahill, Bennett Cahill, Cheyenne Limberg, Chance Limberg, Kiah Newbound, Elsie Nicks, Sadie Leicht, Elle Fletcher and Phoenix Scheel.

Wearing maroon shirts for their First State Community Bank (FSCB) team were Kyree Fowler, Colt Hendrix, Ben Jarrett, Nora Jarrett, Rhett Elkins, Ezra Stover, Lacey Frioli, Chester Stutheit, Griffin Hamann and Killian Harden.

FSCB’s team was coached by Andrew Fowler, Cody Hendrix and Brian Jarrett.

Competing in gray shirts for Mentz Foundations were Elaina Mentz, Wes Ahring, Thea Ahring, Brody Lackman, Lexi Wilson, Brody Strubberg, Cason Floyd, Wren Echols and Ryker Copeland. They were coached by Zach Mentz and Tyler Ahring.

Donning red shirts for ReMax’s team were Maddie Stroupe, Journey Lansford, Noah Maples, Millee Schuchardt, Sutton Wright, Juniper Lorton, Tucker Kurrelmeyer, Phoenix Jones-Havey, Xavier Kohrmann, Porter Hiatt and Collins Morris.

Nick Lansford and Andy Loague served as their coaches.

Two teams competed in the OAA 8U Girls Division sponsored by Kids Korner and ARB Signs.

Wearing white shirts for Kids Korner were Charley Nicks, Grace Mantels, Ryan Nelson, Gracie Smith, Mattie Baxter, Anora Wisely, Olivia Mangrum, Amorette Leach, Ellie Brinker, Brynlee Roberson, Ava Mincemeyer and Eloise Franke.

Coaches for the Kids Korner team included Kelsey Nicks, Jordan Mantels, Amber Smith and Charli Nelson.

ARB Signs team members included Layla Spurgeon, Sloane Hengstenberg, Emrie Roberts, Viola Rademacher, Anna Baldwin, Hazel Nowlin, Rose Notheisen, Zoey Hankins, Presley Neal, Ava Pohlmann and Grace Fritzemeyer. They were coached by Nick Pohlmann and Paul Baldwin.

Three teams also hit the fields in the 8U Boys Division for OAA baseball.

Those sponsors included 3T Plumbing, Heidbrink Erectek and Lakeside Book Company.

Wearing navy shirts for 3T Plumbing included Knox Okenfuss, Tucker Nolting, Westin Kingensmith, Rhett Thomas, Dax echols, Denver Echols, Jase Leicht, Bennett Schaning, Brenner Myers, Maximus Fernau, Michael Martin and Treble Cook.

3T Plumbing coaches included Kari Nolting, Nick Nolting, Cody Thomas and Brian Echols.

Maroon-shirt wearing athletes for Heidbrink Erectek included Kase Eiler, Hudson Fletcher, Waylon Humphrey, Brant Rutledge, Dennis Wright, Elias Hempelmann, Brayden Lowe, Easton Snodgrass, Luke Glenn, Jase Reigel and Bordy Gerlemann. They were coached by Matt Fletcher and Scott Eiler.

Playing in dark green shirts for their Lakeside sponsored team were Caden Peanick, Micah Stroupe, Sean Griffin Jr., Evander Liss, Marcellus Hart, Odin Hart, Austin Edler, Lane Adkison, Samuel Krupp, Weston Schlottach, Benton Leach and Kameron James.

Lakeside’s team was coached by Ashley Schlottach, Gus Schlottach and Talia Griffin.

Two teams competed in OAA 10U Softball sponsored by Maries County Bank of Owensville and Moritz Roofing.

Wearing maroon shirts for their Maries County Bank were Charlotte Okenfuss, Clara Baxter, Bree Daniels, Olivia Hiatt, Mabel Hempelmann, Karoline Reams, Charlotte Riegel, Maggie Stranghoener, Aubrey Kramme, Alyssa Meyer and Vivian Stover.

Coaches for the MCB team were Amanda Okenfuss, Ryan Okenfuss and Scott Stranghoener.

Competing in red shirts for Moritz Roofing were Payton Kueffer, Eleanor Downey, Kaylynn Cain, Lizzie McMahan, Kinsley Miller, Skye Aslinger, Anara Heintz, Cora Walker and Madison Miles.

They were coached by Ashley Kueffer and Vanessa Cain.

Three teams also competed in the OAA 10U Boys Division sponsored by Bag ‘Em and Tag ‘Em, Jost Tire and Grimco.

Wearing blue shirts for Bag ‘Em and Tag ‘Em were Keever Schaning, Gavin Mantels, Corbin Mangrum, Asa McKinney, Colton Scego, Conner Perkins, Wyatt Williamson, Alden Negretti, Kal Chambers, Jackson Niederer, Braxton Thompson and Cohen Sieckmann.

Bag ‘Em and Tag ‘Em was coached by Lynde Mantels, Ty McKinney and Lee Mangrum.

Wearing gray shirts on their Jost Tire team were Quentin Hamm, Dawson Echols, Luke Gerlemann, Kyle Carr, Jackson Carr, Eli Liss, Coen Peanick, Aidan Crabb, Jett Weyrauch, Levi Hempelmann, Nash Echols and Lucas Onder.

Coaches for the Jost Tire squad were Keith Hamm and Brian Echols.

Playing in red shirts for their Grimco sponsored team were Lukas Walker, Sean Walker, Oliver Snodgrass, Aiden Notheisen, Ernie Wheeler, Cayden Stephens, Daniel De Vore, Edan Jarrett, Nolan Huff and Hudson Frioli.

Coaching for Grimco’s team were Sean Walker, Rayschell Walker and Jessica Roesch.

Heidbrink Heating and Cooling sponsored the lone OAA 12U Girls Softball team consisting of players Kynlee Heidbrink, Calleigh Renaud-Falls, Leena Hengstenberg, Lucy Hengstenberg, Jayden Lowe, Devyn Elmore, Evelyn Stover, Aisha Santos, Audrey Miller, Alexis Pierce, Haley Ragain, Laurel Voss, Elsie Olson and Cora Olson.

Their coaches included Jeff Miller, Megan Pierce, David Pierce and David Olson.

Two teams made up the OAA 12U Boys Division sponsored by Fitness Parlor and Gruenloh Excavating.

Taking the field in black shirts for the Fitness Parlor were Logan Dennis, Wyatt Dennis, Bryer Kottwitz, Berkley Kottwitz, Mattox Page, Jamison Piersol, Paul Sieker, Mason Shockley, Frank Clancy, Apollo King, Rowan Lorton, Elliot Becker-Steams, Eli Wax and Andrew Allen.

Cody Dennis and Brad Norton coached the Fitness Parlor sponsored team.

Clad in navy blue shirts for Gruenloh Excavating were Eli Glenn, Rhett McKinney, Draydon Gruenloh, Jase Schulte, Tucker Henderson, Gaige Keeler, Colten Nowack, Jayce Abernathy, Evan Eberlin, Karson Griffith, Carson Decker, Jaxin Finn, Marley Lorton and Lucas Goggin.

Gruenloh Excavating coaches included Brandon Glenn, Ty McKinney, Sheradin Edler and Derek Gruenloh.

Red Oak Fencing sponsored the lone OAA 14U Girls Division softball team consisting of players Kinley Humphrey, Alexis Christensen, Paislee Basham, Leah Roberson, Kendra Miller, Chloe Downey, Laina Rasmussen, Gemma Hecht, Willow Mahurin, Kiera Hamm and Lylah Manson-Little.

They were coached by Kym Orlando, Ashley Workman and Carl Downey.

HD Real Estate was the sponsor of the lone OAA 14U Boys Division baseball team.

Those players included Kyle Korff, Trevor Rott, Zander Hinson, Rex Wehmeyer, Hayden Dennis, Blake Koch, Carson Palovick, Max Branson, Brody Christensen, Matthew Allen, Bentley Crews and Jayden Crawford.

Coaches included Miranda Palovick, Brian Koch and Danny Branson.

Names of athletes that competed in Gerald and Hermann will also be listed in upcoming installments of Will’ful Thinking throughout the month of July.
