Gary Neal Lowe, 82, of Owensville, passed away Saturday, June 3, 2023, at Washington Mercy Hospital in Washington.
He was born Sept. 25, 1940, to Kenneth and Nadine Hope (Lane) Lowe in Wallace, Idaho.
He was united in marriage to Martha Rose Donelson, March 19, 1973 at Miami, Okla.
Gary enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening. Gary served his country in the U.S. Navy. April 20, 2016, he traveled with Franklin County Honor Flight to Washington D.C. In his youth, he received the award of Eagle Scout, the highest honor earned in scouts.
He was preceded in death by parents, Kenneth and Nadine; brothers-in-law, Brian Runde and Tom King; sister, Phyllis Pepper; and sons, John and Thomas Fuerst.
Gary is survived by wife, Martha; children, Donald Fuerst and wife Debbie of Blue Springs, Joseph Fuerst and wife Sheryl of Houma, La., Vicki Lowe and David Lowe both of Kansas City; daughter-in-law, Denise Fuerst of Harrisonville; brother, Roger Lowe and wife Debbie of Buckner; sisters, Marilyn King of Lee’s Summit, Beverly Linney of Liberty, and Pamela Runde of Johnston, Iowa; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
His body was cremated. There are no funeral services scheduled at this time.
