OWENSVILLE — General election ballots for Gasconade County have all arrived at the courthouse in Hermann and have been tabulated. The first batches arrived at around 7:40 p.m. from the wards in Hermann. The last ballots to arrive got in at 8:32 p.m. from the Tayloe precinct. Two of the four judges from each polling station brought the ballots to the county courthouse where a team processed them and added the totals to a white board set up just inside the entrance. The ballots from Redbird were randomly chosen for a hand count that serves to verify the accuracy of the voting system. In total, 5,209 of the 10,810 (48.19%) registered Gasconade County voters made it to the polls on Tuesday. The results are final, but are not official until they are certified on Friday, Nov. 6.
