Geneva Elizabeth Hopkins, 86, Owensville, formerly of Mesa, Ariz., passed away Monday, March 16, 2026, at her residence.
She was born April, 26, 1939, to the late Walter and Pattie (Appling) Griffith in Marked Tree, Ark.
She was united in marriage to Raymond Vaughn on July 23, 1956, in Michigan, and then to Lawrence Hopkins June 25, 1988, in Mesa, Ariz.
Geneva was a member of Assembly of God Church in Owensville.
She enjoyed gospel singing, playing piano, embroidery and shopping, especially at thrift stores and yard sales.
Geneva was preceded in death by husbands, Raymond Vaughn and Lawrence Hopkins; parents, Walter and Pattie; daughter, Marsha Morris; granddaughter, Amber King; stepson, Mark Hopkins; and siblings, Raymond, Aubrey, Clyde, Malcomb and Jimmy Griffith, Jean Burns, Thelma James and Mickey Marshall.
She is survived by children, Ann Vaughn, Renee Schoen and Debra Tapia, all of Owensville, Frankie Vaughn of Warrenton, Melody (Roxie) Parker and husband Roger of Lewiston, Idaho and Thad Hopkins and wife Melissa of La.; brother, Donnie Griffith and wife Kathy of Melbourne, Ark.; 16 grandchildren; 33 plus great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday, March 20 at Gottenstroeter Chapel in Owensville, with Pastor Les Dority officiating. Interment was in Owensville City Cemetery.
