Gloria Genevieve Rolwes, 79, Belle, passed away Saturday, March 21, 2020, at SSM St. Mary’s Hospital in Jefferson City.
She was born Dec. 17, 1940, to Harry Emil and Margaret Lucille (Burch) Vierling, in St. Louis.
She was united in marriage to Henry “Hank” Rolwes, April 16, 1963, in St. Louis.
Gloria was a 1958 graduate of Mercy High School in St. Louis. She had been an area resident since 1976 and was a member of St. Alexanders Catholic Church in Belle.
She was preceded in death by parents, Harry and Margaret; siblings, Louise, Delores, Margie, Teresa, Harry, Bill and Jim; granddaughter, Dawn Grumpenberger; and infant granddaughter, Madalynn.
In addition to her husband of almost 57 years, Gloria is survived by: one son, Brett Rolwes and his wife Kathy of Belle; three daughters, Denene Axelrod and her husband John of Arnold, Denise Pack and her husband David of Jefferson City, and Diane Marquart and her husband Jim of Washington; 13 grandchildren, Jim Marquart, Tina Nieport, Tracy Bacott, Michelle Kempker, Jeffrey Marquart, Jessica Pack, Steven Pack, Julie Hammond, Samantha Axelrod, Joshua Axelrod, Cally Conyers, Emma “Andy” Rolwes, and Jacob Rolwes; 30 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Robert “Bob” Vierling as well as many extended family members and friends.
Private family services have been arranged and interment will be in the St. Michaels Cemetery near Bland. Memorial contributions suggested to St Judes.
