Bruce “The Voice” Paneitz was recognized Feb. 22 by Dutchgirl basketball seniors Anya Binkhoelter and Audrey Quilacio (far right) on his final game as Owensville High School’s public address announcer. Paneitz caps off a 35-year run of work behind the mic at basketball games and 34 seasons of Dutchmen football. Doug Light, former athletic director at Borgia, shared he enjoyed hearing Paneitz announce Owensville games so much he asked him to handle PA duties during tournaments at his school. Kris Altemeyer, principal at OHS, also recognized Dutchmen/Dutchgirl Athletic Booster Club treasurer Don Fuchs who is retiring after 48 years.
