With taco fixings and beverages, Heartland Independent Living administration and staff kicked off spring with a picnic celebration on Thursday in front of their Owensville headquarters. A pinata was also strung up for the children to smash around on in an effort to free the candy inside. The event was billed as “Taco bout” and gave visitors a chance to talk about Heartland’s programs for independent living and accessories including toys for clients with adaptable living needs.
