Scoring team points in 14 events, Tony Terry, Jr.’s Hermann Lady Bearcat track and field squad placed third in the team standings racking up 89 points finishing behind Centralia (144) and Pacific (104).
Hermann’s Bearcats placed fourth as a team with 70 points behind Centralia (140), Russellville (108.5) and New Bloomfield (78).
Competing in her final home meet as a Lady Bearcat, Ashlyn Hughes posted a pair of second-place finishes with a time of 13.67 in the girls 100-meter dash and a mark of 34.92m in the girls javelin.
Taya Thurman also posted a 16th-place time of 15.27 in the girls 100m dash while Alivia Witthaus placed right behind Hughes in the girls javelin with a third-place toss of 33.00m.
Tenley McFadden (3rd, 9.54m) and Krystal Strubberg (7th, 8.81m) scored team points for Hermann in the girls triple jump while Jillian Frederick collected a silver medal for her second-place finish in the girls high jump clearing 1.40m.
Faith Gabathuler (4th, 32.10m) and Alaina Powers (6th, 31.12m) also scored Lady Bearcat team points in the girls discus.
Adding to her fourth-place mark in the discus, Gabathuler also took third place in the girls shot put with a throw of 10.34m.
Katelyn Krueger also added an 11th-place throw of 8.66m in the girls shot put.
Kylie Helmig just missed the top eight and scoring range placing ninth in the girls pole vault clearing 2.15m.
Makayla Nicholson (12th, 3.94m) and Morgan Penning (13th, 3.82m) competed for the Lady Bearcats in the girls long jump.
Penning and Strubberg posted top-10 times in the girls 200m dash placing fifth in 30.66 and ninth in 32.00 respectively.
Erika Schutt (4th, 1:08.72) and Sydney Englert (9th, 1:14.92) took a lap around the track in the girls 400m dash.
Brylie Haver (7th, 2:49.21) and Elaina Uthlaut (11th, 2:58.52) ran two times around the track for Hermann in the girls 800m run.
Eileen Swofford (5th, 6:54.78) and Grace Engemann (6th, 7:12.13) both scored team points for the Lady Bearcats in the girls 1600m run.
Sprinting to a third-place time of 55.33 in the girls 4x100m relay was the Lady Bearcat foursome of Heidi Brinker, Tenley McFadden, Nicholson and Hughes.
Placing fifth in the girls 4x200m relay for Hermann in a time of 1:57.52 was the team of Brooklyn McCurdy, McFadden, Nicholson and Schutt.
Ending the meet on the track in the girls 4x400m relay for Hermann with a fourth-place time of 4:31.68 was the team of McFadden, Schutt, Nicholson and Penning.
In a non-team scoring event, Hermann’s foursome of Witthaus, Krueger, Powers and Gabathuler took second in the girls throwers 4x100m relay with a time of 1:02.86.
For Hermann’s Bearcats, senior Nolan Kopp completed the medal trifecta winning the boys 1600m run in 4:33.17, placing second in the boys 3200m run in 9:39.01 and taking third in the boys 800m run in 2:03.51.
Junior Ryker Ash also posted top-four times in the 100m, 200m and 400m dashes.
His best finish came in the 100m dash with a second-place time of 12.10 while he also took third in the 200m dash in 24.39 and fourth in the 400m dash in 52.88.
Tayven Hopkins also scored team points in the boys 100m dash with a seventh-place time of 12.57 while Colin Nunnally also posted a sixth-place time of 25.48 in the boys 200m dash.
Chase Branson followed Kopp in the boys 800m run with an 11th-place time of 2:22.90 while Eric Chorley placed ninth in the 3200m run (11:39.55) and 10th in the 1600m run (5:26.46).
Bracksten Carr rounded out the top 10 in the boys 110m hurdles with a 10th-place time of 20.57 while also taking 11th in the boys 300m hurdles in 49.27.
Sprinting to a team point in the boys 4x100m relay for Hermann was the quartet of Holden Schales, Gavin Zastrow, Layne Bader and Ethan Chorley in an eighth-place time of 53.10.
Also taking eighth in the boys 4x200m relay in a time of 1:47.64 was the Bearcat foursome of Ashton Rucker, Nunnally, Bader and Schales.
Ending the meet on the track with a fourth-place time of 3:49.11 in the boys 4x400m relay for Hermann was the team of Roman Martin, Sawyer Moore, Kopp and Ash.
Placing sixth for Hermann in the boys throwers 4x100m relay was the team of Victor Loaiza, Elliot Geers, Nathon Wheeler and Spencer Head in a time of 57.76.
Gaige Nilges also posted a 23rd-place throw of 21.46m in the boys discus.
Hopkins (3rd, 1.75m) and Rucker (4th, 1.75m) picked up Bearcat team points in the boys high jump.
Gavyn Theissen just missed the top 10 of the boys long jump for Hermann placing 12th with a mark of 5.23m.
Seeing their meet at New Haven canceled due to forecasted severe weather Monday, HHS Track and Field will make the short trek east on Highway 100 to New Haven for the annual Four Rivers Conference (FRC) track meet on Friday, May 1 with field events starting at 9:30 a.m., followed by running events at 10:00 a.m.
