Howard Benton Holaway, 97, of Leslie, passed away Thursday, Oct. 19, 2023, at his residence.
He was born April 29, 1926, to Richard and Martha (Benton) Holaway in Meramec.
He was united in marriage to Charlesine Marie Owens, April 16, 1949, in Union.
Howard served his country in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed going to flea markets.
He was preceded in death by parents, Richard and Martha; children, Dennis, Daniel, Glenn and Teresa Holaway; and siblings, Gladys, Elsie, Ellen, Ed, Virgil and Floyd.
He is survived by wife, Marie of their home; daughters, Marilyn Bowman and husband Richard of Rosebud and Mindy Holaway of Union; and four grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and two great-
great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Wednesday (today), Oct. 25, from 9–11 a.m. at Gottenstroeter Funeral Home in Owensville.
Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. with Rev. Kevin Sullivan officiating. Burial will be in Rosebud Methodist Cemetery in Rosebud with full military honors.
