Dear Editor,
Every human being has been endowed with an unalienable right to life. From that unalienable right flows the principle of equal rights of all under the law, which disappears if the right to life is not honored.
Abortion tramples an individual’s equal right to life. It violently ends all the potential of its innocent victim, a child of God, with immeasurable capacities for good, for ingenuity and for molding this world into a fairer place for all people.
We believe that the positive laws of our state should preserve and protect all people from intentional destruction. To be clear Abortion is the intentional destruction of human life. Dehumanizing these little ones is not just bad public policy it is just plain wrong.
Amendment 3 is a step in the right direction to protecting life. The chief right among all the rights we have been blessed with by our Creator.
Amendment 3 will allow us enact laws that ensure the health and safety of women and children in connection with abortion.
Please join us in voting yes on Amendment 3. Let’s leave a legacy rooted in care, dignity, and respect for life. Your vote is their voice.
