James “Jim” Otis Cardwell, Jr., 76, of Rosebud, passed away Monday, Feb. 26, 2024, at his residence.
He was born Oct. 17, 1947, to James Otis Sr. and Betty (Hardy) Cardwell in St. Louis.
He was united in marriage to Linda Witt, Aug. 22, 1970, in Florissant.
Jim served his country in the U.S. Marines. He enjoyed being outdoors, going on family float trips, working with trees, boating, traveling, especially to Florida. He enjoyed playing baseball when he was younger, along with hunting, but most importantly he loved spending time with family.
He was preceded in death by parents, James and Betty.
He is survived by wife, Linda of their home; children, Scott Cardwell of Owensville, Jestin Cardwell of House Springs and Shayla Cardwell and husband Michael Fisher of Lake St. Louis; siblings, Larry Cardwell and wife Denise of Perry, Ga., and Lee Coen and husband Gordon of Rosebud; grandchildren, Dillen Myers and wife Ashley, Kaylee Young, Tommy, Nicole, Drew and Cali Cardwell; and great-grandchildren, Dawson and Alaina Myers and Gunner Cardwell.
His body was cremated and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
