James Walter Fath, 65, of Owensville, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2023, at Capital Region Hospital in Jefferson City.
He was born Sept. 5, 1957, to Walter and Thelma (Moyer) Fath in St. Louis.
He was united in marriage to Catherine Oldfather, Oct. 30, 1976, in Owensville.
James enjoyed bowling, fishing and hunting. He loved going to the casinos. He also had a surrogate family, the Howard’s, that have been lifelong friends.
He was preceded in death by parents, Walter and Thelma.
He is survived by wife Catherine of their home; children, Cheona Williams and husband John Jr. of Owensville and Jamey Fath and significant other Tabitha Jetter of St. Louis; siblings, Glenn Fath of Reno, Nev. and Diana Rhodes and husband Frank of Red Bird; grandchildren, ChyAnn Williams and fiancé Isaiah Decker, Jadyn Williams, Elena Fath and J.R. Fath.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, Sept. 9, from 1–5 p.m. at the VFW Hall in Owensville.
