Janet Laura Ramsey, 86, of Rosebud, passed away Sunday, Sept. 17, 2023, at her residence.
Janet was born Feb. 22, 1937, to Frank Raymond and Sarah (Magwitz) Dierks in St. Louis.
She was united in marriage to Donald Ramsey, Sept. 27. 1955, in DeSoto.
Janet enjoyed playing bingo, board games and working puzzles. She was a very faithful member of Immanuel Lutheran Church at Rosebud.
She was preceded in death by parents, Frank and Sarah; husband, Donald; son, Melvin Ramsey; brothers, Vernon, Raymond, and Clifford Dierks; and sister, Eunice Rohlfing.
She is survived by daughters, Donna Hall and husband Paul of Mobile, Ala. and Marjorie Stulce of Belle; sons, Gerald Ramsey and wife Judy of Sullivan and Daniel Ramsey and wife Shannon of Winchester Bay, Ore.; sister, Millie Mateka and husband Albert of Perryville; 23 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Wednesday (today), Sept. 20, from 4–8 p.m. at Gottenstroeter Funeral Home Chapel in Owensville.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Sept. 21, at 10:30 a.m. at Gottenstroeter Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Tim Weiser officiating. Burial will be at the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Rosebud.
