Jeanne Margaret Angell, Gerald, departed this life in Owensville, Feb. 14, 2022, having reached the age of 92 years, 11 months and 20 days.
She was born Feb. 25, 1929, daughter of William Henry Adam Smith and Elsie Margareta Smith nee Warneky in St. Louis.
She was united in marriage to Zeno Joseph Angell, Jr., March 10, 1950, and four children came to bless this union.
Jeanne was a Christian, believing in the Lord as her Savior and very active in Boeuf Presbyterian Church, Gerald. She enjoyed participating in the church kitchen band, volunteered at many church events and sang in the church choir. Jeanne also volunteered at school and was a past president of the PTA. During her working career she worked on the assembly line at Brown’s shoe factory and Gerald Cap Factory. She enjoyed playing cards with her family and playing bingo, especially with her sister. What meant most to her was time spent with family. The love they shared and many precious memories they created will be cherished by them all forever.
A kind and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, great and great-great-aunt, cousin and treasured friend, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her.
Jeanne was preceded in death by parents William and Elsie Smith; by husband Zeno Angell, Jr.; son David; sister Anna Mae; and brother Larry.
She is survived by children Diane and husband Lanney, Jaynee and husband John and Donald and wife Debbie; brother Bill and wife Berniece; grandchildren Travis, Rebecca, Gary and significant other Laura, Nicole and Matthew; sister-in-law Louella; great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
A private committal will take place at a later date.
