John “Butch” Goodwin, 63, Berger, passed away Thursday, May 14, 2026, at Mercy Hospital in Washington.
He was born on Feb. 16, 1963, to the late Martha Clark in St. Louis.
He was united in marriage to Patricia (Prior) Goodwin on Oct. 19, 2007, in Hermann.
John worked as a carpenter for many years and after retiring from carpentry, he helped in the Union School District as a school bus monitor,
He was preceded in death by mother, Martha Clark; and brother, John Lloyd Goodwin.
John is survived by wife, Patricia of Berger; daughters, Johnna Anderson and Megan Goodwin, both of Union and Deanna Goodwin of New Haven; son, Dylan Goodwin and wife Nikki of New Haven; step-sons, Kraig and Tony Moore, both of Hermann; step-daughter, Sarah Cates and husband Tyler of Washington;10 grandchildren; one step-grandchild; and six siblings.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
