John Julian Laux, 81, of Gerald, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2023, at Stonebridge Adams Street Nursing Home in Jefferson City.
He was born Feb. 15, 1942, a son of the late Victor Henry and Celeste Josephine (Hentges) Laux in Jefferson City.
He was united in marriage to Mary Margaret Lorton Withers in 1987 in Gerald.
John enjoyed tractor pulling and deer hunting.
He was preceded in death by wife, Mary Margaret Lorton; parents, Victor and Celeste Laux; brothers, James and Paul Laux; and sisters-in-law, Debra Laux and Linda Laux.
His survivors include stepsons, Russ Farrell and wife Sherry of Owensville and Rich Withers and wife Becky of Washington; daughter, Julie Engelbrecht; son, Jason Laux; sister, Mary Dorge and husband Alban of Osage Beach; brothers, Vincent Laux and Joe Laux both of Jefferson City; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
