John Joseph Neuner, 77, Linn, passed away Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at University Hospital and Clinics in Columbia.
He was born Sept. 4, 1945, to the late Joseph and Lorene (Branson) Neuner in Jefferson City.
He was a 1963 graduate of Linn High School.
John was united in marriage to Karen Branson Sept. 4, 1965 at St. George Catholic Church in Linn.
He was employed as a crane operator for ABB until his retirement in 2009 and then began driving for Rudroff Bus Company until March of this year when his health forced him to retire.
John was member of St. George Catholic Church in Linn.
He was a permanent fixture on the front row anytime his grandchildren were participating in a sporting or school event.
John was preceded in death by parents, Joseph and Lorene; brothers, Herbert, Harry and James Neuner; and sisters, Theresa Thomas and Dorothy Weislocher.
He is survived by spouse of 57 years, Karen; sons, Joseph Anthony Neuner and wife Lisa of Loose Creek, Michael James Neuner and wife Debbie of Linn and Scott Christopher Neuner and companion Crystal Lanphier of Mexico; grandchildren, Cole Neuner and wife Lindsey, Samuel and Sydney Neuner and Evelyn “Evie” Lanphier; great-grandchildren, Madelyn Neuner, Logan Huckabee and Addison and Autumn Clark; sisters, Marsha Nagel of Jefferson City and Ruth Neuner Elledge of Jefferson City; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Private family services will be held. Inurnment will be in the St. George Parish Cemetery in Linn.
