Judith A. Walkenbach, 77, passed away on Sunday, Feb.15, 2026, in her home in Jefferson City.
She was born Sept. 14, 1948, to the late Donald and Gladys (Gatzemeyer) Faes in Washington.
She was united in marriage to Steve Walkenbach on June 13, 1970.
Judy graduated from St. George School High School and then from nursing school in 1970.
She was employed as an RN at Fulton State Hospital for 28 years before retiring in 2003.
Judy was preceded in death by husband, Steve; parents Donald and Gladys; father and mother-in-law, Herb and Nell Walkenbach; sister, Brenda Bracht; and nephew, Joey Bracht.
She is survived by daughter, Stephanie Allbritton and friend Tracy Shelabarger; sons, Chad Walkenbach and Craig Walkenbach and wife Billie; and six grandchildren.
Funeral Mass was held on Feb. 20, at St. George Church in Hermann, with Father Philip Niekamp officiating. Interment was in the St. George Cemetery.
