Justin Thomas Barnett, 37, of Gerald, passed away Saturday, June 10, 2023, in Owensville.
Justin was born December 18, 1985, to Frank and Kimberly (Schuler) Barnett in Birmingham, Ala.
He worked at WEG Transformers USA in Washington. He was a Master Welder for about a year. He also worked as an electrician in Houston, Texas and Union for several years. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, BBQs and cooking, and spending time with family, especially his son. He was very loved by all of his co-workers and all that knew him. Justin loved hunting, swimming, fishing, working out and staying fit.
He is survived by father, Frank and wife Robbie of Cypress, Texas; mother, Kimberly Dawson and husband Josh of Gerald; grandparents, John “Jack” Schuler and Brenda of Troy; girlfriend, Katie Kottwitz of Owensville; sons, Jacob Barnett of Gerald, Rylan and Cheyenne Kottwitz of Owensville; brothers, Dalton Barnett and wife Emerson of Cypress, Texas and Christopher Barnett of Gerald; sisters, Crystal Romero of Cheyanne, Wyo., and Aubrey Dawson of Gerald.
Visitation will be 9 to 11 a.m., Saturday, June 17 with funeral services following at 11 a.m., at Gottenstroeter Funeral Home in Owensville with Rev. Kevin Sullivan officiating. Burial will be at St. Paul’s UCC Cemetery in Gerald.
