Dropping a 54-44 road decision last Monday night in Wardsville against Blair Oaks’ Lady Falcons, Ashley Aaron’s Hermann Lady Bearcats looked to get back over the .500 mark with a home victory last Thursday night against South Callaway’s Lady Bulldogs.
Limiting South Callaway to six first-half points, Hermann nearly doubled their first-half point total in the second half of their 51-18 victory over the visiting Lady Bulldogs.
Senior Kealie Lane led the Lady Bearcats and all scorers with 19 points, seven rebounds, four steals and three assists.
Andrea Van Booven netted all six of her points in the third quarter while also adding eight rebounds, three assists, three blocked shots and a steal to her stat line.
Brynlee Ash and Kimber Hale each followed with five points in the scoring column.
They were followed with four points apiece from Victoria Van Booven and Madyson Yates.
Erika Schutt and Grace Engemann both scored three points while Kalli Landolt rounded out the Lady Bearcat scoring with two points.
Landolt equaled Andrea Van Booven’s night on the glass with eight rebounds.
Jess Robb’s Hermann JV Lady Bearcats could not overcome a scoreless third quarter before coming out on the wrong end of a 42-27 final score.
Remi Groner led Hermann netting six of her team-high seven points in the first half.
Lucy Theissen and Brooklyn Yates both chipped in six points to go with four markers from Lily Korman.
Adlee LaBruyere and Engemann capped the JV Lady Bearcat scoring with two points apiece.
Lady Bearcats at Blair Oaks
Leading 22-20 at halftime on the road in Wardsville against Blair Oaks’ Lady Falcons, Aaron’s Hermann Lady Bearcats were outscored 34-22 in the second half leaving them on the short end of a 54-44 final score.
Lane led the blue and white just missing a double double finishing with 14 points, nine rebounds, five steals, four assists and two blocked shots.
Andrea Van Booven joined Lane in double figures with 10 points, six rebounds and four blocked shots.
Madyson Yates followed with seven points, five rebounds and two steals to go along with five points apiece out of Hale and Ash.
Victoria Van Booven rounded out the Lady Bearcat scoring at Blair Oaks with a third-quarter 3-pointer for three points.
Hermann also dropped a 28-18 in the JV girls game against Blair Oaks in spite of a game-high eight points from Groner.
Hailey Diebal added four points for the JV Lady Bearcats followed closely with two points apiece from Brooklyn Yates and Korman.
Sydney Englert and Theissen each capped the scoring for Hermann with one point.
