Lakeside’s People’s Committee packs troop care packages

People’s Committee members at Lakeside Book Company in Owensville collected money, snacks, and personal care items to ship care packages to activity duty military members.

Lakeside staff on June 29 boxed up 612 items to ship to five members of the United States armed forces who are either family, or friends of workers at the Owensville printing plant. Funds collected during the campaign also went for the costs of supplies. Along with a collection of a wide variety of snacks, each recipient is being sent personal care products, laundry supplies, stamps, writing materials, crossword puzzle books, and writing paper.
