Larry James Hauser, 85, Big Spring, passed away at home on Aug. 17, 2026.
He was born on Oct. 12, 1940, to the late Walter and Edna (Heldt) Hauser.
He was united in marriage to Ruth (Schneider) Hauser on Feb. 27, 1960, in Hermann.
Larry graduated from Hermann High School in 1958 and briefly attended college in Warrensburg before returning home to work on the farm with his dad.
In addition to farming, he worked for Judy Warden Real Estate and Maczuk Chevrolet.
Larry was preceded in death by parents, Walter and Edna; and father and mother-in-law, Edwin and May Schneider.
He is survived by wife, Ruth of Big Spring; son, Curt Hauser of Millersburg; daughter, Lori Stiers and husband David of Rhineland; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister, Shirley Kunz of Hermann; and sister-in-law, Carol Nolting of Chicago, Ill.
Funeral services were held on Aug. 21, at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home in Hermann. Interment was in St. James Cemetery in Big Spring.
Memorial contributions suggested to St. James Cemetery or St. John’s UCC in High Hill.
