Laura Margaret Polm, 96, Rosebud, passed away Friday, July 26, 2019, at her residence.
She was born Nov. 19, 1922, to Henry and Emma (Wehmeyer) Heidbrink, at Rosebud.
She was united in marriage to Lamar “Pete” Polm, Sept. 28, 1946, in the parsonage of Immanuel Lutheran in Rosebud.
Laura was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Rosebud. She enjoyed baby sitting children in the Rosebud area for over 20 years. She also enjoyed gardening in her flower garden and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by husband Lamar; brothers, Art, Gus, Arnold, Edwin, Daniel and Wilber Heidbrink; sisters, Edna Hilgenkamp, Viola Heidbrink, Delores Brandt and Mary Heidbrink; and son-in-law, Harlan Wood Sr.
She is survived by children, Scott Polm and wife Trisha of Rosebud and Cindy Wood of Lincoln, Neb.; sister, Ruth Schmidt of Union; grandchildren, Harlan Wood Jr., Mike Wood and wife Michelle all of Lincoln, Neb., Christopher Polm and wife Melissa of Owensville, Gabrielle Glenn of Kansas City, Kylie Lauth of St. Louis and Olyvia Lauth of Rosebud; great-grandchildren, Bradyn and Rylee Wood of Lincoln, Neb., Lucas Polm of Owensville, Aubrey Glenn of Kansas City, Bryson Zelch of Rosebud and Cheyann Bartlett of Owensville; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Monday, July 29, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Rosebud with Pastor Bill Liebmann officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
