Law Enforcement Sales Tax distribution by municipality
Gasconade County is scheduled to distribute a “proportionate share of 25 percent” of the revenue from the voter-approved half-cent sales tax for law enforcement based on each community’s population as cited in the 2020 Decennial Census posted by the U.S. Census Bureau.
Figures shared by the Gasconade County Commission, which reflect populations verified by the Meramec Regional Planning Commission, are listed below.
Municipality/population/sales tax distribution percentage
Owensville: 2,757 — 46 percent
Hermann: 2,185 — 36 percent
Bland: 506 — 8 percent
Rosebud: 390 — 7 percent
Gasconade: 172 — 3 percent
