LeRoy E. Schulte, 92, of Hermann, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2024, at StoneBridge Senior Living, Hermann.

He was born Nov. 20, 1931, to Frank and Anna Mary (Grannert) Schulte in Cooper Hill.

He was united in marriage to Laverne Alvira Eikermann, June 19, 1954, in Stolpe.

LeRoy proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of Hermann United Methodist Church, Wentzville American Legion Post 323 and served as a board member for the St. John’s Cemetery, Stolpe.

LeRoy was a salesman and worked for several companies over the years including, McDonnell Douglas Corporation, Caterpillar Inc., Cleveland Twist Drills, and Specialty Feed Inc.

He is preceded in death by parents, Frank and Anna; wife of 66 years, Laverne; sister, Mildred Langenhol and husband Carl; brother, Arthur Schulte and wife Vera Mae; infant sister, Laura Mae Marie Schulte; and brother-in-law, Armin Eikermann and wife Betty.

LeRoy is survived by daughters, LeeAnn (Gary) Bornhop of Wentzville, and Linda (Greg)Erspamer of Edwardsville, Ill.; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Delores (Don) Kopp of Jefferson City.

Funeral services were held Monday, Feb. 5, at Hermann United Methodist Church, Hermann, with Pastor Dawn Gerard officiating.  Burial was at Oak Haven Memorial Gardens, Hermann. Memorials suggested to Hermann United Methodist Church or St. John’s Cemetery-Stolpe.
