Lois Dean Copeland, 88, Gerald, passed away Friday, Nov. 12, 2021.
She was born May 21, 1933, to Alva and Elsie Blankenship.
She was united in marriage to Richard (Gene) Copeland May 1953, and later divorced.
She attended Holy Martyrs Catholic School and later graduated from Sullivan High School, class of 1951. She was employed at Ramsey/Dana Corp.
She was preceded in death by daughters Debra and Diane Copeland; parents Alva and Elsie; sister Mary Theresa; brothers Charles Blankenship and Earl Blankenship and wife Linda.
Lois is survived by sons Randy Copeland of Austin, Texas, and Roger Copeland and wife Donna of Gerald; brothers and sisters Edgar and Goldeen Blankenship of Bland, Lana and Danny Gauer of Sullivan, Rich and Donna Blankenship of Steelville, Janet and Mike Terris of St. Charles, Lorene and Mike Ransom of Cuba, Shirl and Jerry Burchum of Sullivan, Lisa and Tony Caltry of Sullivan, Linda and Mark Heuer of Cuba, Carol Schlueter of Bourbon, Rod and Rita Blankenship of Sullivan, Joan and Ronnie Strothcamp of Zalma, and Jack and Betty Blankenship of Sullivan; sister-in-law Shirley Blankenship of Spring Bluff; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
A private graveside service was held Thursday, Nov. 18, at Holy Martyrs Cemetery, Sullivan.
