Lucinda “Cindy” Regina Dudgeon, 57, Mt. Sterling, passed away Sunday, July 26, 2026, at her residence.
She was born April 4, 1969, to the late James and Mary Nadine (Markham) Mitchell in St. Louis.
She was united in marriage Oct. 18, 2025, to Lawrence “Larry” Dudgeon at Pin Oak Baptist Church in Mt. Sterling.
Cindy was a member of Pin Oak Baptist Church. She was a lifelong dedicated public servant, but took the most pride in being a mother and grandmother.
Cindy was preceded in death by parents, James and Mary; and previous husband, Jim Klausner.
She is survived by husband, Larry of their home; sons, Scott Stranghoener and wife Katie, Ryan Stranghoener and fiancé Catherine Guthrie, all of Owensville, and Steven Brandhorst of Mt. Sterling; step-son, Ethan Klausner of Owensville; daughter-in-law, Mary Kohrmann of Rosebud; brothers, Jim Bob Mitchell and wife Crystal of Sparta and Billy Mitchell of Gerald; sisters, Betty Connor of Beaufort, Mary Loessel and husband Andy of Festus, Carla Diez and husband Bobby of Leslie and JoAnn Goodman and husband Darryl of Gerald; and grandchildren, Addison, Maggie, Wyatt and Austin Stranghoener, Braylee Maupin, Ember Nichols, Amelia Iten, Ellery and Camilla Klausner and Waylon and Landon Kohrmann.
Funeral services were held July 31, at Gottenstroeter Chapel in Owensville with Pastor Greg Kontz officiating. Interment was in Countryside Memorial Gardens in Owensville.
