Mamie Josephine Landwehr, 99, of Owensville, passed away Monday, Aug. 7, 2023, at her residence.
She was born, July 31, 1924, to Tony Jr. and Mary (Schimmel) Fuchs in Owensville.
She was united in marriage to A.W. (Armin) Landwehr, Aug. 1, 1942, in Hermann.
Mamie was a member of St. Peter’s United Church of Christ in Owensville, the Dorcas Circle and VFW Ladies Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by parents, Tony and Mary; husband, Armin; son, Randy Landwehr; siblings, James, George, Chester, Milford “Bill” and Earl Fuchs, Nellie Buschman, Virginia Siegler, Elsie Havelka, Marie Landwehr and Mildred Bock.
She is survived by sons, D.R. Landwehr and wife Stephanie of Richmond and Kimmy Landwehr and wife Nancy of Owensville; daughter-in-law, Marilyn Landwehr of Columbia; six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; and special nephew, Don Fuchs and wife Glenda of Owensville.
Visitation will be Saturday, Aug. 12, from 9–11 a.m. at Gottenstroeter Funeral Home in Owensville with VFW Ladies Auxiliary service at 10:45 a.m.
Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. with Rev. Stephanie DeLong officiating. Burial will be in Owensville City Cemetery.
