Mark Leo Lough, 59, Owensville, departed this life into the arms of Jesus at Gasconade Manor Nursing Home, Monday, Nov. 2, 2020.

Mark was born Aug. 19, 1961, to William Leo Lough and Linda Duncan Fritsch and was the stepson of William E. Fritsch Sr. He graduated from Owensville R-2 High School and then worked many years as a draftsman at Hollebusch Tool and Die Inc. Co. in Washington. He was a member of Owensville Christian Church and the Owensville Moose Lodge. He enjoyed playing music with his church and friends on his drums and playing golf. 

Mark’s “Special Dog,” Duncan was his companion for 14 years. He and Duncan appeared several times on the news where Mark told his story of colon cancer, encouraging everyone to be checked regularly. They were always together.

He was preceded in death by his father, William Leo Lough; and stepfather, William E. Fritsch Jr.

He is survived by his mother, Linda Fritsch of Boliver; sister, Pam Bohl and husband Keith of Taos; stepsister, Julie Toebben and husband Joe of Washington; stepbrother, Bill Fritsch and wife Kristi of Owensville; niece and Godchild, Kayle Haslag and husband Skylor of Taos; nephews, Ryan Bohl and wife Sarah of Wardsville and Nathan Bohl of Jefferson city. He is also survived by many great nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.

A “Special Thank You” for his Best Friend, Jerry Shoemaker, Melissa Heibrink (his angel) and Diane Lairmore (aunt) for all their hospitality, doctor visits, love, support and prayers during Mark’s journey with cancer. Many thanks to all his family and friend for their love, support, friendship and prayers.

Private graveside services will be held at a later date.

The family request memorials be made to the “Gideons” to purchase bibles to save souls for Christ.
