Mary Ann Blaske, 97, of Owensville, passed away Saturday, March 2, 2024, at Stonebridge of Owensville.
She was born June 21, 1926, to Bernard Henry and Pauline (Schell) Plassmeyer in Argyle.
She was united in marriage to Eugene William Blaske, Sept. 14, 1950, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Owensville.
Mary Ann was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Owensville where she had been a member of the Lady’s Sodality, the Quilting Quild and eucharist minister for the nursing homes. She had volunteered her time as an election judge and enjoyed doing volunteer work for the community. She was the first ever Owensville High School Homecoming Queen.
She was preceded in death by parents, Bernard and Pauline; husband, Eugene; and siblings, Jerry Plassmeyer and wife Eleanor and Betty Biermann and husband Clarence.
She is survived by children, Suzanne “Suzie” Farris and husband James of St. Louis, Paula Belloir and husband Roger of Roseburg, Ore., Jeff Blaske and wife Brenda of Defiance and Randy Blaske and wife Stephanie of Mt. Sterling; grandchildren, Laura Schuffman and husband Noah, Daniel Farris and wife Erica, Sarah Belloir, Joseph Belloir, Ashley Souers and husband Jim and Brittany Farris and husband Ryan; great-grandchildren, Rhys and Isla Schuffman and Avery and Henry Farris; and children of Randy and Stephanie: Machaelie Hennington and husband Tom, Kristen Charboneau and Macey Broeder and husband Christopher.
Visitation will be Saturday, March 9, from 8:30–10:30 a.m. at Gottenstroeter Funeral Home in Owensville.
A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 11 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Owensville with Fr. Philip Kane officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
