Mary Lou Barber, 92, of Owensville, passed away Saturday, Oct. 28, 2023, at Gasconade Manor in Owensville.
Mary was born Aug. 18, 1931, to Harvey and Julia (McElroy) Austin in Dustin, Okla.
She was united in marriage to Charles Barber, June 4, 1955, in Weleetka, Okla.
Mary enjoyed quilting, making baby blankets, camping, traveling, spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Owensville.
She was preceded in death by parents, Harvey and Julia; husband, Charles; son, Michael Barber; brothers, Darrell and Raymond Austin; sisters, Eunice Bisby, Onita Davenport, Faye Bisby, Lorene and Florene Austin.
She is survived by daughters, Marsha Knight and husband Randy of Owensville and Brenda Taylor and husband Gary of Eugene, Ore.; grandchildren, Eric Knight, Matthew Knight, Andrew Taylor, Toni Migneault, and Charles Taylor; and great-grandchildren, Bentley Knight, Quinn Knight, Liam Knight, Evan Knight, Owen Knight, Astoria Migneault, Archer Migneault, and Aesop Migneault.
Visitation will be Wednesday (today), Nov. 1, from 9–11 a.m at Gottenstroeter Funeral Home in Owensville.
Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. at the Chapel with Rev. Kevin Sullivan officiating. Burial will be at Countryside Memorial Gardens in Owensville.
