Melody Ann Schaefferkoetter, 55, Belle passed away Monday, May 3, 2021. 

She was born March 16, 1966, to Calvin and Joyce (Huether) Schaefferkoetter in Washington. 

Melody was a 1984 graduate of Bland High School and received her associates degree from Linn Tech in computer science and mathematics. She had been employed as a C.N.A. for Autumn Meadows in Linn and the Missouri Veterans Home in St. James. 

Melody was a lifelong area resident and had been with her husband, Kevin Brown for over eight years.

Melody enjoyed sewing, crocheting, gardening, and planting flowers. She liked watching crime investigation shows, game shows, the Steve Harvey Show, and playing Farmville II. She loved a good cup of coffee and collecting Betty Boop, Minion, and dragon memorabilia. Most of all, Melody loved spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren. She will be missed by those that knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by mother, Joyce and daughter, Heather Durr.

In addition to her husband, Kevin and her father, Calvin, Melody is survived by: sons, David Rose and wife Ashley of Belle and Daniel Rose and wife, Stephanie of Owensville; daughters, Jessica Nappier and her husband Mike of Sullivan, Crystal Brown of Sullivan, McKenzie Brayton of Farmington and Abigale Keeney of Belle; eighteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a close friend, Mike Keeney; and her two dogs, Ginger and Jax as well as many extended family members and friends.

A Celebration of Life was held Thursday, May 6, with visitation from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Sassmann’s Chapel in Belle with services at 7 p.m. with Bruce Elmore officiating.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to the family of Melody Schaefferkoetter.
