Newton William Henson, 63, of Bourbon, passed away Jan. 2, 2024, at Missouri Baptist Hospital in Sullivan.

He was born Jan. 3, 1960, to Marvin and Frances (Southard) Henson in St. Louis.

He graduated from Rittenour High School in 1978. Newton worked as a machinist for John Harders; and for 36 years worked for Ace Manufacturing.

He was preceded in death by father, Marvin;  and an infant brother, Michael.

He is survived by wife, Julie; children, Samantha Wolf and spouse Ashley of Maple Grove, Minn., and Eric Henson of Bourbon; mother, Frances Henson of Cuba; and siblings, Christine Campbell and husband Steve of Cuba, Anthony “Tony” Henson and wife Michelle of Owensville, Marvin Henson and partner Lori Mabe of Cuba, Mary Fisher and husband Doug of Centralia, and Lawrence Henson and wife Carol Sue of Vandalia.

A Mass of Christian burial was held Tuesday, Jan. 9, at Holy Martyrs Catholic Church with Father Noah Waldman celebrating. Interment was at Holy Martyrs Cemetery.

Memorials suggested to the Missouri Conservation Heritage Foundation and/or the Holy Martyrs Cemetery.
