Norman Marcus Fleischmann, 95, formerly of Owensville, passed away Saturday, Feb. 21, 2026, at Missouri Veteran’s Home in St. James.
He was born Dec. 16, 1930, son to Marcus and Adelia (Roehl) Fleischmann in Bland.
He was united in marriage to Sherra D. Decker Oct. 2, 1954, in Bland.
Norman had served his country with the U.S. Army.
He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.
Norman enjoyed playing golf, farming, traveling, building and fixing things and photography.
He was preceded in death by wife, Sherra; parents, Marcus and Adelia; and brother, Wayne Fleischmann.
Norman is survived by son, Larry Fleischmann of Arizona; sister, Verbeth Decker of Owensville; grandchildren, Nathan Fleischmann and wife Julie of Georgetown, Texas and Sam Fleischmann and wife Dr. Sandra Demars of Bainbridge, Wash.; and great-grandchildren, Sofia, Natalie, Charlie, Harper and Jack Fleischmann.
Visitation will be held from 9 until 11 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 26, followed by funeral services at Gottenstroeter Funeral Home in Owensville, with Rev. David Roth officiating.
Interment will be in Countryside Memorial Gardens with Full Military Honors.
