Norman C. Kloeppel, 85, Gerald, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2026 at his home.
He was born on Aug. 28, 1941, to the late Frank V. and Elizabeth (Kesel) Kloeppel in Meta.
He was united in marriage to Mary E. (Hagedorn) Kloeppel on April 28, 1962, at St. Joseph’s Church in Rhineland. Together they shared 64 years of marriage.
Norman worked as an electrician for Mack Electric and then for Aschinger Electric.
Norman was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, in Port Hudson, Fr. Jerry Jakle Knights of Columbus Council #9465, Gerald, and the IBEW Local #1 for 60 years.
He was preceded in death by parents, Frank and Elizabeth; son, David Kloeppel; and brothers Jerome, DeWayne and Frank Kloeppel, Jr.
Norman is survived by wife of 64 years, Mary; sons, Dan Kloeppel, James Kloeppel and wife Dawn and Michael Kloeppel and wife Stacy; daughter, Kelly Herbert and husband Keith; 14 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers; seven sisters; and many other family members.
A Funeral Mass was held onTuesday, Oct. 13, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Port Hudson, with Father Jim Holbrook and Deacon Paul Hecktor officiating. Interment was in Holy Family Cemetery.
Memorial contributions suggested to Fr. Jerry Jakle Knights of Columbus Council #9465 of Gerald or Memorial Masses at Holy Family Church in Port Hudson.
