Owensville High School’s Dutchmen and Dutchgirl track and field teams celebrated their first-ever dual district championship wins Saturday in Class 3 competition at Waynesville with a victory lap. The Dutchmen and Dutchgirls each won their respective District 5 team titles by 60-point margins. Individuals and relay teams placing in the top four at the district meet advance to sectional action Saturday, May 20, at West Plains High School near Springfield. Top four finishers advance to the Class 3 Missouri State High School Activities Association’s Track and Field Championships scheduled May 26-27 at Jefferson City High School’s Dennis and Roberta Licklider Track Complex inside Adkins Stadium.
