OMS Track squads place fifth, sixth in home relays

Hosting a handful of area schools during last Thursday’s Owensville Middle School (OMS) Relays at Owensville High School’s Dutchmen Field, OMS’ Dutchgirls placed fifth as a team with 54 points while their Dutchmen counterparts were sixth in the boys team standings with 58 points.

Doing most of their damage in field events, Ambrosiah Salamone (1st, 2.60m) and Kiera Hamm (2nd, 2.15m) claimed the top two spots for the Dutchgirls in the girls pole vault racking up a quick 18 team points.

Gracie Rosselli also scored a team point with her eighth-place leap of 3.72m in the girls long jump.

Kat Buhr (19th, 3.40m) and Ella Niederer (25th, 3.20m) also competed for Owensville in the girls long jump.

Kennedy Reams collected eight Dutchgirl team points with her second-place time of 2:50.87 in the girls 800m run while Aubrey Mogenson also placed 19th in 3:10.62.

Alexis Christensen earned another team point in the girls 1600m run with an eighth-place time of 6:29.34 in the girls 1600m run.

Claiming two team points in the girls 4x200m relay for Owensville was the foursome of Allison Evans, Salamone, Hamm and Rosselli in a seventh-place time of 2:04.66.

Taking fourth in the girls 4x400m relay for OMS in 4:50.60 was the team of Jolie Vandegriffe, Hamm, Reams and Salamone.

Also collecting six team points in the girls 4x800m relay for Owensville with a third-place time of 11:51.23 was the orange and black quartet of Christensen, Reams, Rosselli and Vandegriffe.

Adelyn McDonald (4th, 21.37m) posted the best mark for Dutchgirl throwers in the girls discus while Evans (14th, 17.00m) and Ellie Bay (18th, 16.19m) also threw for OMS in the event.

Placing eighth in the girls 4x100m relay for Owensville in 59.60 was the team of Elle Albright, Hamm, Smith and Salamone.

Posting a ninth-place time of 1:10.13 in the girls 4x100m throwers relay was the Dutchgirl team of Lydia Barnwell, Lilyana Rossi, McDonald and Buhr.

Sprinting down the track in the girls 100m dash for OMS were Niederer (31st, 15.92), Ollie Ray (32nd, 16.09) and Allyson Smith (34th, 16.41).

Liliana Colula also placed 30th for the Dutchgirls in the 200m dash with a time of 34.03.

Leah Roberson (30th, 1:25.20), Ray (31st, 1:25.70) and Avalon Breese (33rd, 1:31.65) competed in the girls 400m dash for Owensville.

Leading OMS’ Dutchmen on their home track was the 4x800m relay team of Robbie Rodriguez, Trace Lange, Roman Crowe and Davey Nichols posting a winning time of 9:49.05.

That same quartet also posted a fourth-place time of 4:16.08 in the boys 4x400m relay.

Sprinting to a sixth-place time of 53.65 in the boys 4x100m relay was the Dutchmen quartet of Kison Curtman, Seth Mitcham, Grayson Kelley and Nathan Dobbs.

Also taking sixth for the Dutchmen in the boys 4x200m relay in a time of 1:53.48 was the orange and black squad of Ricky Ringeisen, Brayden Kemp, Logan Hackstedt and Mitcham.

Mitcham also posted a fourth-place time of 12.57 in the boys 100m dash.

Ricky Ringeisen collected four team points with his fifth-place time of 26.71 in the boys 200m dash.

Crowe (8th, 1:01.48), Mason Steinbeck (33rd, 1:13.09) and Garrett Ringeisen (34th, 1:15.36) took a lap for OMS in the boys 400m dash.

Max Altemeyer (16th, 2:43.33), Anthony Grube (25th, 2:56.80) and Liam Kramme (29th, 2:58.99) ran in the 800m run for OMS’ Dutchmen.

Altemeyer also posted a fifth-place time of 5:34.28 in the boys 1600m run followed by Dutchmen teammates Rodriguez (12th, 5:51.67) and Brock Rutledge (13th, 5:52.00).

Ayden Gutermuth (21st, 21.77), Atticus Budnik (24th, 22.53) and Tate Dixon (27th, 23.41) competed in the boys 100m hurdles for Owensville.

Carter Price (28th, 20.33m), Dixon (30th, 19.67m) and Brahm Winter (34th, 17.95m) threw the discus for OMS’ Dutchmen.

Crowe and Lange both cleared 1.50m in the boys high jump to place fourth and fifth respectively.

Kramme (5th, 2.30m), Garrett Ringeisen (10th, 2.00m) and Cody Richardson (17th, 1.70m) also competed for OMS’ Dutchmen in the boys pole vault.

Davey Nichols nearly broke five meters in the boys long jump placing second with a leap of 4.90m for the Dutchmen.

OMS Track and Field competed last night (Tuesday) at the Hermann Invitational and will also run, jump and throw on Tuesday, April 28 at New Haven.
